01Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how FieldBinder AI ("FieldBinder," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the fieldbinder.ai website, the early access program, and — when released — the FieldBinder AI iPhone application and companion web portal (together, the "Service").

Because the app is in development, this policy describes both what we collect today (website phase) and what we will collect when the app launches. We'll update this policy before launch if practices change.

02What we collect today

• Early access signups: the email address you submit to join the list.
• Contact form messages: your name, email, role (if you choose one), and the message you send.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs and aggregate usage information collected by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) used for security and site operation.

The website does not run advertising trackers. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, and forms and hosting are provided by Netlify; those providers process technical data as part of delivering the site.

03What the app will collect at launch

Account and company information

• Name, email, and login credentials (including sign-in via Apple or Google if offered);
• Company profile details and your company logo for branded reports;
• Subscription status (billing itself is handled by Apple — we don't receive your full payment card details).

Project content you create

• Projects and their details (customer, site, contacts, dates, notes);
• Captures: photos, short videos, voice memos and their transcriptions, text notes, files, measurements, tags, and field items;
• Location data attached to captures, if you enable location permissions;
• Reports generated and edited in the Service.

Device and usage data

• Device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, and feature usage — used to keep the app working and improve it.

04How we use information

• To provide and operate the Service — storing your projects, syncing captures, and generating your reports;
• To communicate with you — early access updates, launch notices, responses to your messages, and service announcements;
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations;
• To understand usage in aggregate and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your project content for advertising.

05AI processing

AI features — voice-to-note cleanup, photo descriptions, and report generation — work by processing the content you choose to run through them. That processing may be performed by trusted third-party AI service providers under agreements that restrict use of your content to providing the service.

Your project content stays yours: it lives in your private workspace, it's used to generate your notes and reports, and it is not shared with other FieldBinder users. We do not use your project content to build products for other customers.

06How we share information

We share information only with:

• Service providers that help us run the Service — hosting, cloud storage, form processing, email delivery, analytics, and AI processing — bound to use it only on our behalf;
• Apple, for app distribution and subscription billing, under Apple's terms;
• Legal recipients, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service;
• A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — with notice to you.

07Data retention

We keep early access and contact information until you ask us to remove it or it's no longer needed. When the app launches, project content is retained while your account is active; if you delete content or your account, we delete it from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to routine backup cycles and legal requirements.

08Security

The Service is designed with private project workspaces, secure cloud storage, and controlled access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we don't promise otherwise — but protecting your project record is central to what this product is, and our practices will be documented on our Security page as they mature.

09Your choices and rights

• Email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option, or contact us and we'll remove you.
• Access, correction, deletion: contact us to request a copy of your information, correct it, or have it deleted. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we'll honor valid requests.
• Location: location tagging in the app is controlled by your device permissions and can be turned off at any time.

10Children

The Service is a professional tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

11International users

We're based in the United States and process information there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

12Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy as the product evolves — including a fuller version before the app launches. Material changes will be noted here with a new "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we'll notify you directly.

FieldBinder AI is a documentation and drafting assistant — not a licensed engineering, legal, safety, or compliance authority. AI output can contain errors or omissions, and nothing generated by the Service is professional advice. Final judgment on any project, safety, legal, or compliance matter stays with you and your qualified professionals.
